The educational objective in the Esthetics Masters Program is to expand upon the exceptional foundation students accrue in Introduction to Esthetics by further delving into the intricacies of advanced skin care.
The Esthetics Masters Program encompasses Spa Therapy, Clinical Modalities and Advanced Esthetics. Graduates of this intensive program gain an unsurpassed education that provides a distinct advantage in the spa industry. Students are guided through a comprehensive, contemporary curriculum with individualized attention and detailed supervision. Esthetics Masters Program graduates have greater marketability and earning potential and are preferred by salons, spas and wellness facilities. Students who have graduated from the complete Esthetics Masters Program also have the advantage of securing licensing reciprocity from most states in the country.
The complete Esthetics Masters Program is 800 hours. Once students successfully complete the first 400 hours, they are eligible to schedule their state board exam while completing the remaining 400 hours of training.
Students who maintain a 75% GPA in the written and practical portions of esthetics training and satisfy all financial obligations and program requirements will receive a New England Center for Esthetics Education diploma.
Graduates will then be eligible to schedule their appointment for the State Board examination. Upon passing this exam, students will immediately be issued a Type 7 Esthetics License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Note: Massachusetts legislates a two-tiered licensure. A minimum of 2 years work experience must be completed in order to upgrade the initial license to a full Esthetic (Type 6) license.
